Карибское сообщество, Карибский общий рынок, Карибское сообщество и общий рынок (интеграционный блок, созданный в соответствии с договором, подписанным Барбадосом, Гайаной, Ямайкой, Тринидадом и Тобаго в Чагуарамасе (Тринидад и Тобаго) 4 июля 1973 г.; по состоянию на начало 2007 г. членами сообщества являлись: Антигуа и Барбуда, Багамские Острова (являются членами сообщества, но не принимают участия в программах в рамках общего рынка), Барбадос, Белиз, Доминика, Гренада, Гайана, Гаити, Ямайка, Монтсеррат, Сент-Китс и Невис, Сент-Люсия, Сент-Винсент и Гренадины, Суринам, Тринидад и Тобаго; статусом ассоциированных членов обладали: Ангилья, Бермудские Острова, Британские Виргинские Острова, Каймановы Острова, Острова Теркс и Кайкос; в рамках сообщества предусматривается развитие экономического сотрудничества стран-членов, осуществляется координация внешней политики; налажено сотрудничество в таких областях, как здравоохранение, образование, культура, наука и техника, налогообложение; в рамках общего рынка предусмотрены следующие мероприятия: введение общего внешнего тарифа; проведение единой протекционистской политики; усиление координации внешнеторговой политики; согласование программы налоговых стимулов для промышленности и другие мероприятия)
